Dr. Mehari Taddele Maru is the Head of African Conflict Prevention Programme at the Institute for Security Studies (ISS). A former fellow at Harvard University, he holds a Doctorate of Legal Sciences (DSL) from JL Giessen University, a MPA from Harvard University, an MSc from the University of Oxford and a LLB from Addis Ababa University. Prior to joining the ISS, he was the Programme Coordinator for Migration at African Union. Dr. Mehari served as a Legal Expert at the African Union and as the Director of Office for University Reform the Addis Ababa University.
